We offer a very special process of cleaning, repairing and storing in a beautiful
handmade presentation box of your choice, which will protect your treasured dress and
ancillary items in pristine condition, heirloomed for future generations. This process takes four weeks.
We can also take care of theatrical wear, military uniforms, vintage clothing and other ladies and gents garments.
Bradleys Museum
Bradleys have never been "just another dry cleaners" and the diversity of work that we undertake and range of services can be considered somewhat outside the normal remit of regular dry cleaners.
Here is an example of some of the work that we have undertaken and also some ongoing projects. Currently we are restoring an original Crimean War officers cabinet bed which is a big undertaking given its condition. We have even removed each spring by hand and have restored each
one.
We have a wedding dress worn shortly after the Second World War and stored away dirty. The dress was terribly yellowed and stained when we received it but is now pristine and is to be displayed in a place of honour on a mannequin at the couple anniversary party.
Military uniforms we are currently working on range from a WW2 USAAF flight suit to a modern RAF Regiment dress uniform which got damaged in Afghanistan. (The wearer of it is fine by the way) but did get mentioned in dispatches.
You might be wondering why we have a World War One tank model on our site.
This is a very early 1930s Marx Clockwork Toy. It was found in a garden and covered in rust and mud. Amongst our works equipment we have small nozzle high pressure steam guns, air guns (not the weapon type) and high pressure water atomization guns as well as a large range of neat chemicals.
These enable us (along with 100 years experience) to work on items not associated with dry cleaning.
